Installation Site Requirements for UV Flatbed Printers
The installation site requirements for UV flatbed printers mainly cover seven aspects: lighting, temperature, airflow, power supply, wiring, flooring, and dust control. Strict adherence to these standards during installation ensures the printer operates smoothly and reliably.
1. Lighting Requirements
UV ink contains photo-initiators that react to ultraviolet light. Exposure to natural light or LED UV light in the working environment may cause premature ink curing. To extend the lifespan of the print heads, natural light should be avoided at the installation site. It is recommended to use incandescent or LED energy-saving lamps as the primary light sources.
2. Temperature Requirements
The recommended storage and working temperature for UV ink is between 18°C to 25°C (64°F to 77°F), with humidity levels maintained at 55%–65%. Avoid heat sources or high-temperature environments. Pay attention to safety in both storage and usage areas.
3. Airflow Requirements
UV ink may emit slight odors. For enclosed environments, proper ventilation must be ensured. If auxiliary heating or air circulation systems are in use, the airflow from such equipment must not be directed toward the surface of the UV flatbed printer.
4. Dust Control Requirements
Excessive dust or lint in the working environment can cause circuit board malfunctions or print head blockages. In severe cases, dust may mix with the ink, negatively affecting print quality and damaging the print heads. Make sure the area is kept clean and dust-free.
5. Power Supply Requirements
The power supply for the UV flatbed printer must be standard AC voltage: 220V/50Hz or 110V/60Hz, with a voltage fluctuation of no more than ±2.5%. The wiring must include a reliable grounding line with ground resistance less than 4 ohms. A dedicated power circuit is required—do not share the power supply with other devices.
6. Wiring Requirements
All wiring at the installation site should be routed using proper cable trays or conduits. Communication and power lines must not be placed where they can be stepped on. If wiring runs along the floor, use protective casings to prevent insulation wear or electric leakage over time.
7. Flooring Requirements
The floor where the UV flatbed printer is installed must be level and stable. Avoid uneven surfaces, slopes, or depressions, as these can affect the machine’s performance and operational stability.
